Family Weekend

Sandi’s sister, Sue, and family arrive for the weekend for a little fun, kicking off with a ziplining adventure.

All the fresh air and excitement makes for big appetites.

The best way to end the day, Whistler-style—in the hot tub with a cold beer.

Happy Easter

Joking aside (we actually gave up wine for a whole week) we start Easter weekend celebrations in Vancouver with a Good Friday service at the First Baptist Church, built in 1910.

Ready for a little bubbly in the lounge at the Wedgewood Hotel.

We attend the Vancouver Bach Chamber Choir’s Easter performance at the Orpheum Theatre.

The Orpheum Theatre started off as a vaudeville house in 1927 but now plays host to a myriad of cultural events including Easter Sunday church service which we also attend.

In the afternoon we stroll along Kitsilano and Jericho beaches. How blessed are we to live in such a stunning city?

What luck! Sandi spots the Easter bunny.

We round off the weekend and our stomachs at The Red Lion Pub with an Easter dinner of Shandys, Roast Beast, Mashed Potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding.

Happy Easter to you and yours. We hope you are enjoying this beautiful holiday with your loved ones.

Two Years and Counting

Today we celebrate two years of marriage.

Tim treats Sandi to dinner at La Rua restaurant with desserts galore and a special treat in a little turquoise box. What wifey wouldn't swoon with love and adoration over all that?!

We make each other so happy and are so delighted to share life with each other. Simply better together, that’s what we are.

Let Me Count the Ways

The following song by Des’ree reminds us of the importance and existence of love in everyday life. It also reminds us that it's important to keep an open mind and an open heart, to always do one's best and strive to be true to oneself. Like the song suggests, life is a journey of ups and downs. At some time or another we all experience obstacles along our path. Sometimes the bumps in life are big and challenging to shake. At other times, life may present a series of small bumps that can wear even the most positive people down. The one constant is the existence of Love and it's power to transform the way we view life.

When we view the situations, people, and surroundings in our life through a loving lens, we can shift what we feel and often what we believe. When we look at what lies before us in life through the eyes of love, we are really doing ourselves a huge favour. We can’t help but feel good when we think about all of the things we admire and enjoy about a person, place or circumstance. When we feel good we are at peace. When we feel good we are clear about what matters most. When we feel good we are more apt to be our authentic selves and spread our joy and love, thus making the world a little bit brighter.

Have a Happy Valentine’s Day. We hope everyone enjoys it with their loved ones.

A Midwinter...

Tim heads up the mountain for a day of skiing despite the freezing temperature while Sandi stays warm in the kitchen cooking from her Barefoot Contessa cookbooks.
