Congratulations Sarah and Andrew

We’re in Cornwall, England for the wedding of Tim’s nephew, Andrew, and his bride-to-be, Sarah.

We kick off the four-day extravaganza with a quick water taxi ride from the beach in Rock to the the quaint fishing village of Padstow to meet Sarah’s family at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant.

Ed, Tim’s nephew-in-law, takes his menu-reading very seriously.

Sandi chats with Harry, Sarah’s brother who flew in all the way from Hong Kong.

Harry isn’t sure where to start his large shellfish dinner.

The family home in Polzeath, with it’s sweeping views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs and spectacular sunsets, is the perfect place for Friday night’s BBQ.

Andrew, the groom, and his sister-in-law, Jacey.

Tessa, Tim’s twin sister ready to head to the church on the big day.

Tim’s nephews, Thomas with his girlfriend Ella, and James with his girlfriend Olivia. Andrew and Sarah are getting married at St. Enodoc Church, which dates to the 12th century. It is a half a mile walk on a dirt path so the ladies don flats and tote their heels.

The groom (center) looks as cool as a cucumber.

Here comes the bride.

Flower girls Eva, Elodie, and Millie and pageboy Max, Tim’s great-nieces and -nephew.

Mr. and Mrs. Topham.

We head down to the beach for champagne and photos.

St. Enodoc Church is situated in sand dunes on an estuary. Wind-driven sand has formed banks that are almost level with the roof on two sides. From the 16th century the church was virtually buried by the dunes. To maintain the tithes required by the church, it had to host services once a year, so the vicar and parishioners descended into the sanctuary through a hole in the roof. By 1864 it was finally unearthed and the dunes were finally stabilized.

Peter Steel, the father of the bride, makes a speech.

Now it’s Bean’s (Andrew’s) turn.

Everyone’s all ears.

Yes, those are lobster claws. Every good party needs a guy like this.

The newlyweds take to the dance floor.

HUGE congratulations Mr. and Mrs. T! Thank you for having us share in your special day. What a wonderful day it was. We love you! xox
